Love designing clothes? Showcase your talent and join the National Commission for Culture and the Arts' Ready to Wear (RTW) Clothing Design Competition! There are three (3) categories to choose from: Student, Professional and Fashion/Clothing Line Companies. Create contemporary and practical designs for RTW garments which can be used everyday in school, office, while shopping or for other events. The design should promote the amazing textiles from different cultural communities of our country. You may opt to have it sewn by a seamstress but make sure that the final product clearly bears the ethnic source, i.e. Gaddang, Ilokano, Kapampangan, Subanen, Tboli, Yakan. The entry form can be downloaded on the contest website. Submit that, along with your entry to the Cultural Communities and Traditional Arts Section. An exhibit of all the entries will be mounted at the NCCA lobby for judging. Five (5) winners per category will each receive a cash prize plus a trophy. For the Student Category, prizes at stake are P40,000, P35,000, P30,000, P25,000 and P20,000.
