Get your popcorns ready for this year's Cine Europa 18. Running on the theme, "Coming of Age," a roster of 23 European films that portray timeless love stories and transition from youth to adulthood will be available for FREE viewing. Isn't that exciting? Among the movies that you will surely love are Faith, Love, and Whiskey, Rise Up! And Dance, Pride, Ginger and Cinnamon, Ida, Suck Me Shakespeer, Stockholm Stories, and many more. Just like in the previous movie festivals, this is a first come, first served basis. So, be sure to be at the Shang Cineplex, Cinema 1 at least 2 hours before the screening starts to guarantee your seats. Enjoy as many great films as you can!

Faith, Love, and Whiskey
  • Neli, a newly engaged woman in America, panics and returns home to Bulgaria where she rediscovers her wild life with her drifter friends. Along the way, she falls in love with her alcoholic best friend, but must make a choice when her fiance suddenly arrives
Rise Up! And Dance
  • When a young farmer named Markus falls in love with the economics student Romi, they both realize that despite hailing from different worlds, they share a common passion for dance. The film showcases the fusion of dance styles, from hip-hop to disco
  • It's the summer of 1984: Margaret Thatcher is in office and the National Union of Mineworkers are on strike. At a Gay Pride March in London, a group of LGBT activists decide to raise their money to support families of the miners on strike. Suck Me Shakespeer
  • An ex-con passes himself as a substitute teacher in a school that sits atop the stolen cash his girlfriend buried for him. While he secretly digs for his loot, he becomes a teacher that brings a class of unruly kids back on track with his unorthodox way of teaching. His methods soon attract the attention of a prim and proper colleague
The Legend of Paul and Paula
  • This film chronicles the dramatic love story of two childhood friends who go through divorce, sorrow, and betrayal before they finally end up together
Ginger and Cinnamon
  • A woman and her aunt learn life lessons about love and family when they go on holiday at a resort in Ios, Greece, where they stumble upon an unexpected person
  • A young, aspiring nun named Anna is on the verge of taking her vows when she discovers a dark family secret that dates back to the Nazi occupation
Totally True Love
  • Nine-year-old Anne must fight for the affections of Jorgen, the new boy in her class, against the prettiest girl in school, Ellen
Little Baby Jesus (Christmas Miracles in Prague)

  • Gives a peek into the different ways of love with the story of Kristof and Nada, husband and wife teachers whose actions towards a nymphomaniac student and a cheeky stranger begin a series of crazy events
  • It’s also time to meet a new superhero in the person of Antboy, who is actually 12-year-old Pelle who gets bitten by an ant and develops superpowers
  • Here, nine-year-old Finn struggles to make music despite his father’s wishes for him to play football instead. An encounter with an old man who plays the violin so beautifully inspires him to go for what he wants
Keep Rollin'
  • Daredevil turned paraplegic Valentin enrolls in an experimental theatre workshop and discovers the unique qualities of his mentally disabled yet talented co-members
Naked Harbour
  • Tells the story of eight different people who are all seeking love and approval at any cost
Miasto 44
  • Tells the story of loves and friendships formed during the 1944 Warsaw Uprising
  • Narrates successful TV anchor Ema’s struggles in the middle of a big scandal
