Phil Pop 2015 Loud & Proud

With the success of the previous Philippine Popular Music Festival, it's executive director Ryan Cayabyab is now looking for a new batch of fresh, talented songwriters for the Phil Pop 2015 Loud & Proud. This year, expectations are high as the competition will be looking for composers who have a more 'international appeal' to open the door for refreshing, meaningful new music to find a larger audience. If you think you have that talent, submit your best compositions now through the contest website. You are allowed to submit a maximum of two (2) entries only. The shortlisted Top 12 finalists will move on to the finals wherein one will be awarded P1 Million Grand Prize.

Contest Requirements:
  • Open to all local or foreign-based amateur and professional composers, of any age including minors provided that you have the written consent of a parent or guardian
  • You may or may not be a Filipino citizen, provided that, in the case of a non-Filipino citizen, you must have a mother or father who is or was a Filipino citizen
Contest Mechanics:
  1. Log on to the Philippine Popular Music official website and complete the online entry form
  2. Entry Guidelines
    • Must be your original composition
    • A song entry may be written in any form or structure, whether in a popular or new song genre, fusion, etc.
    • Lyrics may be in Filipino (a local regional language, dialect), English, or any combination
    • The song entry must be in MP3 format audio file, with a file name bearing the Song Title (SONGTITLE.mp3) in capital letters, without spaces, dashes or periods. 
    • The lyrics or words of any Song Entry that is in any Philippine regional language or dialect, in whole or in part, shall provide a line-by-line translation in English
    • Must not have been assigned and/or licensed to any third party for any purpose
    • Must have never been submitted to any other song-writing competition
    • Song entry must have never been made available to the public in any manner or format, whether or not for profit
    • Must not have been assigned and/or licensed to any third party for any purpose
  3. Together with the fully accomplished online entry form, upload the audio file and lyrics in prescribed format
  4. You may submit a maximum of two (2) song entries, either as a sole composer or collaborator, or both
  5. Strictly one (1) audio file per entry
  6. The Top 12 finalists will move on to the finals
