Looking for good finds? Look no further. This whole month of August 2014, Robinsons is doing its annual Red Hot Sale. Participating stores will be offering discounts of up to 70% off. The sale is happening mall-wide in different Robinsons Mall locations. Last week I was invited to check out Sale items at Robinsons Galleria. Timing is perfect because I was actually looking for a dress shoe.

As a side note, make sure to take advantage of their ongoing instagram contest. Simply follow @robinsonsmallsofficial, repost the Red Hot sale poster found on the Facebook page and tag 5 friends with the hashtag #RobinsonsRedHotSale. 30 winners will be randomly drawn to win P1,000 Robinsons GC each.

My hunt begins with randomly browsing through different stores that were on sale. I found my way in Topman. The sale items were deep inside the store. There were a few polo shirts on sale but none really struck a chord. I checked their undergarments rack and found some nicely designed boxer briefs and colored socks. There were some nice casual shoes on sale as well but I had to stay focused on getting a dress shoe.

I just love seeing how each store designed and presented their sale signs. Some even showed the prices.

Next stop was Tretorn. I wasn't really familiar with this brand so much but did I like it. Although a bit pricey, their shoes was stylish but more than that, it was comfortable. I made my way to the right shelf where all the shoes were on sale. The biggest discounts were in the bottom and decreased as it went up. Although I wanted to get a really nice shoe at the bottom (kuripot mode), I was really drawn to the shoe on top.

The sole of the shoe was really squishy and soft. The salesman was explaining the technology behind it but I was distracted by the awesome feeling on my feet. The discounted price for the shoe was about P3,500. I was really tempted to buy it but I had to focus on getting a dress shoe first. Had to get out of there fast!

Next stop was Geox. They had great dress as well as casual shoes. I tried a couple on but I didn't really feel that it suited me perfectly. There was one I really liked but the size was not available. What a shame.

I liked how the shoes hung in hooks. The presentation is just stunning.

I finally made my way down to the Robinsons Department store. Look who I found. Do you know who that blogger is?

I remembered that my some of my underwear had those bacon strip garters already so I scouted for a good one. I usually go for the colorful ones. For some reason, wearing colored undergarments gives me a positive energy. Of course we can't discount the fact that it also makes you feel sexy. Ohh la la.

Yipee! Look what I found. Dress shoes galore. I just didn't know where to start. I got too much options to choose from. I decided to start at the highest discount offering to see if I can get a steal.

After about 30 minutes of wandering and trying on different shoes, I was assisted by a nice salesman. He showed me some shoes made by Bristol. I told him that I wanted a dress shoe that can be worn for both formal and semi-formal or parties. So I can wear it with other pants and jeans. Versatile design. At the same time, I wanted something comfortable with out heels (not sure why some had such high heels). I was wearing beige pants that day and asked the accommodating salesman who was wearing black pants to try on some of my choices so I could see how it looks.

Lo and behold, after much deliberation, I decided to get this Bristol shoe. Made locally with leather coming from India if my memory serves me correctly. It had a 10% discount for a final price of P2,952. Mission accomplished
