National Heritage Month

The month of May is the National Heritage Month and May 18 is International Museum Day! For the entire month of May, the newly refurbished and air-conditioned galleries of National Museums will be FREE on admissions. Included locations are as follows: National Art Gallery (the old Legislative Building), the Museum of the Filipino People (the former Finance Building), and the National Planetarium (which is located between the Japanese Garden and the Chinese Garden at Luneta Park). The National Museum’s non-Manila sites are in Vigan, Magsingal, the Angono-Binangonan Petroglyphs, Tabaco (Albay), Quezon (Palawan), Tagbilaran, Butuan, and Jolo.

On May 17, 2014, the Lopez Museum and Library is FREE on museum and library admission. Guided tours will be available every hour on the hour starting 9AM to 4PM.

If you can't make it this May, don't worry because October will be Museums and Galleries Month and entrance to museum is FREE every Sunday.
