Submission is still ongoing for SpeedyCourse "D.A.R.E. (Discover, Achieve, Reach & Excel) you to Learn?" Video-Making Contest. The online course finder for short courses, trainings, seminars, workshops, conferences and other learning events, is daring all college students living in the Metro to form their group and create a motivational video that shows how Learning and SpeedyCourse can connect people to a world of opportunities. This aims to promote the importance of learning through a creative showcase of young talents in the field of multimedia arts. Only one (1) video  is allowed per team. Get shortlisted into the Top 10 and move on to the Finals. Spread the word and gather as many votes as you can for more chances of winning P50,000 cash, tax-FREE. There will also be a Viewer's Choice winner who will receive P5,000 cash (also tax-FREE).

Contest Requirements:
  • Open to all college students currently enrolled in public and private universities and colleges within Metro Manila
  • Team of 3-10 members
    • All official members must be students enrolled in the same school not necessarily of same level for the current school term
    • Students qualified to graduate at the end of the current school term can join
Contest Mechanics:
  1. Log on to contest.speedycourse.com.ph to download the Video Release and Permission to Represent forms 
  2. Theme: "Dare you to learn." Create a motivational video that shows how Learning and SpeedyCourse can connect people to a world of opportunities
  3. Entry Guidelines
    • Video can be in any genre or style (documentary, short film, music video, etc.)
    • Must be original
    • Must not be more than ten (10) minutes or shorter than one (1) minute in length
    • The video must be in AVI, WMV, FLV, 3GP, MP4, MPG or MOV format
    • The video may explore ideas to encourage learning such as (but not limited to)
      • Learning for all ages (from young people to adults)
      • How learning can help improve a person’s life
      • How learning can open up opportunities for personal or professional development
      • How and where learning can take place
  4. Together with the necessary forms, upload your entry via contest.speedycourse.com.ph
  5. Only one (1) video entry is allowed per team
  6. Accepted entries will be uploaded to SpeedyCourse's YouTube channel and posted on contest.speedycourse.com.ph/videos for public viewing
  7. Judging Criteria (Elimination & Final Round)
    • 30% Depiction of the function of SpeedyCourse
    • 30% Depiction of the theme
    • 30% Creativity, Originality and Video/Audio Quality
    • 10% Online Viewer Votes
  8. Voting Guidelines
  9. The ten (10) videos with the highest total scores will be shortlisted as the Top 10 Finalists and move on to the Final Round
  10. Votes and panel scores received by the Top Ten (10) Finalists on the Elimination Round will no longer count on the Final Round. The votes and scores will be reset to zero (0) before the start of the Final Round
  11. Judging will be done in the presence of DTI representative
  12. If the video with the most number of online votes during the Final Round is the same as the Contest Winner of the Grand Prize, the team gets the bigger prize

  • Elimination Round - Facebook Voting (Likes and Shares) - February 1-13, 2014
  • Announcement of Top 10 Videos - February 17, 2014
  • Final Round and Online Voting - February 17 - March 3, 2014
  • Announcement of Winners - March 5, 2014
Contest Prize:
  • Grand Prize - P50,000 CASH, Tax-FREE
