Lucky Me Short Film Contest

One of the ways families bond with each other is during mealtime. Everyone is encouraged to tell what happened throughout their day. Lucky Me promotes the importance of this family habit, thus the Hapag-Usapan Short Film Competition. Join which category you belong to: Student or Independent film-making enthusiast. Shoot and submit a 3-minute short film that focuses on the "Importance of Reconnecting with the Family during Mealtimes". It can be a documentary, a music video, silent film, animation, as long as it is your original video. Cash prizes at stake for both categories are P100,000 (Grand Prize), P50,000 (2nd Place), P25,000 (3rd Place), P10,000 (2 finalists), and another P10,000 for the Digital Special Award.


Contest Requirements:
  • Two (2) categories:
    • Students – Officially enrolled High School or College/University Students
    • Independent film-making enthusiasts – Professional or non-professional local residents not connected with any production company
Contest Mechanics:
  1. Log and to, like and download the registration form at Lucky Me Facebook fanpage
  2. Make a short film focusing on the "Importance of Reconnecting with the Family during Mealtimes"
  3. Entry Guidelines
    • Short film must run a maximum time of three (3) minutes including credit titles
    • Must be creative and original
    • Must be in digital video format
    • Execution of the material may be in any form - documentary, a music video, silent film, animation and the like
    • Dialogue can be in Filipino, English, or any dialect. English subtitles will have to be provided for entries not in Filipino or English
    • All materials used in the film must be original. No stock photo/footage will be allowed
  4. Submission Guidelines:
    • Duly accomplished application form with the list of the main and supporting roles, production, technical and creative teams
    • For students, provide a copy of the members' Certificate of Enrollment for SY 2013-2014
    • Three (3) DVD copies with a maximum resolution of 1280/70. Video encoding format of MPEG-4 / H264. Video format – MP4
    • DVD cover must contain the following information:
      • Entry Title
      • Director's Name
    • Hi-resolution poster design in JPEG/PNG
    • Enclose all requirements in a brown envelope, properly labeled with the following details:
      • Contest Title
      • Entry Title
      • Director's Name
      • Category
  5. Submit your entries to

  6. Judging Criteria
    • 50% Relevance to Theme
    • 30% Creativity and Originality
    • 20% Production Quality
  7. All entries sent via snail mail must be prepaid
  8. Encourage your friends to vote for your entry for the Digital Special Award

  • All prizes exceeding P10,000 shall be subject to twenty percent (20%) prize tax, which shall be shouldered by the winner
  • All submitted entries and production material become the property of Lucky Me! and Monde Nissin Corporation. Contestants are not allowed to provide public showing of their productions without notifying Monde Nissin
