The National Commission for Culture and the Arts, in cooperation with the Inter-Agency Committee for the Celebration of the Month of Overseas Filipinos (IAC-MOF) is holding a Photo Essay Contest in honor of overseas Filipinos. With the theme, "A day in the life of an overseas Filipino: Stories of excellence, ingenuity, patience, hard work and success", they want to capture personal accounts of our fellow kababayans abroad through captured and captioned photos. This will increase awareness of how life as a migrant is all about, or in other case, must advocate for the protection of rights and promotion of welfare and interests of overseas Filipinos. There are two (2) categories in which you can join: Category A (13-17 years old) and Category B (18 years old and above). You can submit up to a maximum of four (4) entries for more chances of winning. So, if you are living outside the country or you have a relative abroad, let them know about this very exciting and noble contest. You or your loved one might get lucky and win a travel opportunity for 2 approximately worth P25,000, P15,000, or P7,500 (for both categories).
