Calling all young writers! The Philippine Postal Corporation, in partnership with Universal Postal Union, is inviting all young people to join the 42nd International Letter-Writing Competition for Young People 2013. It has been a yearly event to make the youth aware of the important role of the postal services in our societies and in addition develop their skills in letter-compositions by clearly expressing their thoughts on a subject. This year's topic revolves around the theme: "Write A Letter Why Water Is A Precious Resource". Get those pens at work for a chance to win P15,000 cash+medal+plaque and stamp albums and your piece to be forwarded to the International Bureau as Philippines' Official Entry to the competition.

    • 30% Relevance to the theme of the competition
    • 20% Imagination and originality of the contents
    • 20% Demonstrates a good style of writing and communication
    • 20% Demonstrates an extensive vocabulary
    • 10% Youthfulness of tone
