Get your bags ready for Cebu Pacific Air's Juan For Fun Backpacker Challenge. Form a team of three (3) members consisting of college students. Submit an audition video of your team answering the question, "How far will your team go for a fun adventure?". The top 5 shortlisted teams will move on to compete in the challenge proper in which they will be given a pocket money, point-and-shoot and video cam for documentation. The team challenge is to do the most number of tourist/local activities together in a particular destination within the duration of the trip and with the given pocket money. In addition, you have to document the fun adventure in photos and videos. Special fun challenges are also set up in each destination for the teams to accomplish in order to earn extra points and prizes. Win the group challenge for a chance to receive four (4) round-trip tickets to any local (except Caticlan) or international destination for each of your team members.



Contest Requirements:
  • A team of three (3) college student members, 18 years old and above. Members of the team need not be students of the same school
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program in a College or University in the country for the school year 2012-2013
Contest Mechanics:
  1. Log on to juanforfun.com and fill out an online entry form
  2. Entry Guidelines
    • Prepare an audition video featuring all three (3) members of your team
    • Must answer as creatively as possible the question: "How far will your team go for a fun adventure?"
    • Video must be a minimum of 2 minutes and maximum of 3 minutes in length
    • Formats allowed: DATA, MP3, MP4, MPEG, AVI, WMV
    • Must have a high resolution file available upon request
    • Scanned copies of members' IDs
  3. Upload your video on YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook account
  4. Paste the link of your audition video on the online entry form to complete your submission
  5. You must be in good physical and mental condition and must be aware that, and sign releases attesting that, the activities in the challenge may involve risks and hazards, and that participating in the challenge may expose you to these risks
  6. Top 5 teams will move on to compete in the challenge proper
  7. Judging Criteria
    • 40% Content - Does it aptly answer the question, "How far will your team go for a fun adventure?"
    • 40% Creativity - Does it creatively present the said answer to the said question?
    • 20% Execution - Is the video engaging and enjoyable to watch?
  8. Challenge Proper
    • The challenge will take the teams to six (6) local destination via Cebu Pacific Air
    • During Send-off
      • Teams will be thoroughly briefed on the challenge proper
      • The six (6) local destinations will be disclosed
      • The teams will be handed their gear: official shirts, point-and-shoot and video camera for documentation, and pocket money worth P30,000 per team
      • They will be given time to research on their destinations to prepare for their trip
      • Teams will be assigned their team marshal
    • The team challenge is to do the most number of tourist/local activities together in a particular destination within the duration of the trip with the given pocket money. You also have to document the fun adventure in photos and videos
    • The teams are free to choose the activities as long as they are within the safety limits prescribed by Cebu Pacific and the organizers
    • Special fun challenges are also set up in each destination for the teams to accomplish in order to earn extra points and prizes
