Sun Cellular, one of the most progressive telecom operators in the Philippines, has launched Facebook Zero, a service that allows all Sun subscribers to access their Facebook account for FREE. To use this service, you just have to activate the GPRS feature of your mobile phone. Once activated, go to and click on the Facebook Zero button (as shown below) and you can already start browsing Facebook for FREE. However, the Sun Cellular FREE Facebook service is limited to updating your status and commenting on your friends' posts. Should you try to access external web sites and photos, you will be charged the regular rate of P10 for every 30 minutes of Internet surfing. Will Globe and Smart follow suit?
